If you have searched for "Zeus X" (or "Zues X"), you are probably after the cable that fits every device and still fits on your keys. That is the Zeus-X Go 6-in-1 Universal Cable. Here is what it does, what it does not do, and how it compares to the rest of the Zeus-X range.

In short: the Zeus-X Go is a 6-in-1 cable rated for 240W that covers Lightning, USB-C and Micro-USB from either a USB-A or USB-C port, with a zinc alloy swivel build designed to be carried every day. It charges and syncs, but it does not carry video; that is the Go Ultra's job.

Individual connectors vs multi-head cables

Many "universal" cables are multi-head cables: one plug splits into three or four tips that hang off the end at once, and any devices plugged in share the power. The charger sets the ceiling

A cable never adds power; it only lets through what the charger offers and the device asks for. USB Power Delivery works as a handshake: the charger lists the power levels it supports, the device picks the highest one it can safely use, and the cable must be rated to carry it. A 20W phone brick will charge at 20W or less no matter which cable you use. To see laptop-class speeds you need a USB-C charger with enough output, such as the Pixy 100W GaN travel charger, and a laptop that accepts that level.

240W needs a 240W charger

240W is the top of the USB Power Delivery 3.1 standard (Extended Power Range, 48V at 5A). Very few chargers and laptops use the full 240W today; most USB-C laptops draw between 45W and 140W. A 240W-rated cable is useful because it will never be the bottleneck. Whatever your charger and laptop agree on, the cable can carry it, now and with the next laptop you buy.

Lightning and Micro-USB have their own limits

The Lightning and Micro-USB connections are limited by those standards, not by the cable. iPhones on Lightning fast charge at up to about 20-27W depending on model, and Micro-USB devices charge slowly by design. USB-C to USB-C is the connection where high wattage and fast data apply.

Flying and hotels

Hotel rooms, airport lounges and seat-back ports are a mix of USB-A and USB-C. Because a Zeus X cable accepts either on the power side, you can plug into whatever is there and still reach Lightning, USB-C or Micro-USB on the device side. Honest limits

The Zeus-X Go charges and transfers data but does not carry video, so it will not connect a laptop to a USB-C monitor. It uses USB 3.0 for data, which is fine for photos and documents but slower than USB4 for very large files. If either matters, look at the Go Ultra. Device-by-Device Guide

iPhone

iPhone 15 and newer use USB-C, so the USB-C to USB-C connection gives them the fastest wired charging they support. iPhone 14 and earlier use Lightning; plug the USB-C end into a USB-C Power Delivery charger for fast charging, or into any USB-A port for standard charging. The same Zeus-X Go also charges AirPods with either Lightning or USB-C cases.

Android phones

Most current Android phones charge over USB-C and use USB Power Delivery or PPS for fast charging, which works over USB-C to USB-C. Older or budget Android phones, and many accessories, still use Micro-USB, which the Zeus-X Go also covers.

Laptops and MacBooks

MacBooks and most modern Windows laptops charge over USB-C Power Delivery. The Zeus-X Go is rated for 240W, more than any current laptop needs, so pair it with a USB-C charger that matches your laptop's own charger rating and it will charge at full speed.

iPad and tablets

Current iPads and most Android tablets charge over USB-C, and they benefit from a higher-wattage charger than a phone. Older Lightning iPads work through the Lightning connection.

Nintendo Switch, controllers and earbuds
